PLEASE SELGRADE YOUR BINDER: PRINT BINDER CONTENT (see the link to the left), and use it to selfgrade your binder. PLACE THE GRADING SHEET AS THE VERY FIRST ITEM IN THE BINDER. DUE Tuesday 9/13.

Suggestions for Success

• Be active during lecture. Learn in class.
• Do your homework the night that it is assigned and bring your questions to class the next day.
• Don't allow yourself to fall behind.  It is easier to keep up than to catch up.
• Form study groups with your peers.
• Take advantage of example problems in the book and the online tutorials.
• Take ownership of your learning. Nobody can make you learn if you do not set learning as your goal and if you do not have solid studying skills.
• If you miss a class, please make sure that you have not only the lecture notes, but that you learned material covered in class. Use textbook's examples, on-line tutorials and photocopied peers notes to create your own notes. Try to solve problems on your own - copying lecture notes without understanding is not learning.
• Make up missed notes before deadline to make up participation points.
• Make up missed tests before deadlines. There are no make-up quizzes.
